In this encounter, the male was charging at his own image in a mirror.
He was getting really tweaked. When the female moved to eat a cricket, the
male mistakenly charged and bit her. She instantly reared up in the classic
ultra-aggressive stance that females take when fighting other females. The
rapid head buzzing seen is also reminiscent of the female
rejection display, but the female in this case of mistaken identity,
she is in a very high-backed stance that is characteristic of female battle,
not rejection. Female's that reject males, have a very low slung stance,
as they vibrate their head.
