Thamnophis elegans terrestris - Coast Garter Snake

     1.  Large amounts of red on sides between lateral and side stripes; belly heavy with orange/red color
     2.  Dorsal stripe is usually bright yellow
     3.  Common local subspecies; easily confused with T.s.infernalis
