Masticophis flagellum piceus - Red Racer

     1.  Entire body is usually a bright red to rose-pink with dark bands near neck region
     2.  There are melanistic populations; mainly in Arizona
     3.  A common diurnal predator that moves quickly from bush to bush when foraging
