Arizona elegans occidentalis - California Glossy Snake

     1.  Very dark in coloration; ground color sometimes matching dorsal blotching 
     2.  Lower labials are often spotted
     3.  Can be found East of Livermore (Hwy 580) along the western slopes of the Central Valley
