Written Lab guideline and requirements

**Important: Points will be deducted from your write-up if any of these key elements are

missing. Spelling and formatting are IMPORTANT! Do not cheat on font

size or extend margins. Write concise sentences!

·Formatting: One page in length, 12-point font, single-spacing.

·Tardiness: 10-point deduction every day the paper is late.

·Each lab write-up must have FOUR clearly marked sections

(Standard scientific report format)

·Introduction

·Methods – methods for bean lab AND animal observation

·Results – the graph can be on its own page (clearly mark axis and label

properly)

·Discussion – the last paragraph should include discussion on the “Big picture

question”
