| A time-lapse movie showing formation of actin-based furrows that encompass each spindle. These furrows prevent inappropriate interactions between neighboring spindles. We and other have isolated and characterized a class of mutations that specifically disrupt the formation of these cortical furrows. These mutations disrupt three classes of proteins: centrosome-associated, cell-cycle checkpoints, and cortical components (see summary table). |
