Research Interests
I am interested in the effects of post-settlement mortality on temperate reef fish populations. Most marine species have a planktonic larval stage followed by a relatively sedentary adult stage. Mortality rates of recently settled fish are often very high and this can have profound effects on adult population abundances. Furthermore, since local production is not necessarily correlated to local input density-dependence can contribute to the regulations of local populations.
