Research Interests

I am developing a kelp forest ecological model to inform the placement of Marine Protected Areas in the Monterey Bay. MPAs are crucial in protecting marine resources and supporting a diversity of ecosystem services such as food production, flood and storm protection as well as ecotourism. My approaches will include several subtidal experiments to validate this model, implying a lot of cold water diving. More later...
