Who I am?

My name is Rodrigo Beas, I am an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology graduate student at the University of California at Santa Cruz. Under a CONACYT-UCMEXUS fellowship I aim to develop an ecosystem model using species interactions to evaluate Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) with Dr. Mark Carr and Dr. Pete Raimondi as my Advisors. As an initial step, I am collaborating with Dr. Mike Beck from the TNC (The Nature Conservancy) to build a database on: people, institutions, and organizations that perform any kind of monitoring or evaluation of both marine and terrestrial protected areas in the Baja California Peninsula. This database will indentify and recognize those research groups that monitor or evaluate the protected areas in Baja.
