This facility maintains a wide range of software for use with PC and Mac computers to analyze DNA sequence and fragment data generated on the 3100 Prisms. The analysis is performed on major commercial software packages such as Genescan, Genotyper, Oligo, Genemapper, and Sequencher as well as freeware and shareware packages. Most commonly used for analysis of population structure, gene flow among populations, phylogeographic structure of species, and the phylogenetic structure of lineages.
